Help finding info for exams!

Hi, I am currently studying to be a primary teacher and am due to sit my final exams in a few weeks. For the educational psychology part of my course I am focussing on attachment theory, emotional development, sex and gender, and families and socialisation. Not being very experienced with psychology, I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice, particularly regarding online resources for research and advice on approaching possible exam questions? I'd also appreciate any help in general in these areas! Thanks

I think you should look up an introductory psychology textbook (I think there's some listed in a sticky at the top of this forum). Should have enough detail, I doubt you need to go too much into detail and these introductory textbooks are very readable.

are any of these available online though? I don't have access to a library as I am doing the HDip online. I've googled a lot of info but it seems to just repeat what is in my lecture notes and not go into much more detail. There are links from my college website but they're either not very comprehensive or else you have to pay to read them, which unfortunately, is not an option for me!

You could try a local library, they might have a copy of something useful.

I know that a lot of the newer texts have electronic versions on the resource CDs that come with them. Not that I'd suggest such a course of action, but it would presumably be within the bounds of possibility to find some of these as torrents or on p2p networks.
