Most beautiful car?

Saw a black DB9 today, naturally it was stuck in traffic so I got a good look. The heart went a bit faster, and the knees went weak. Then I thought, is this the most beautiful car in the world? After very little deliberation I decided that yes, it is.



Then I wondered, what does it for the other Boardsters? Now we all know the Fiat Doblo and the Ssang Yong Rodius are in a class of their own, so we'll disregard those two, it just wouldn't be fair on the other cars. What do you all think the most beautiful car ever made is? And seeing that this thread is mine, pics are obligatory .

It is a very good looking car. The background makes all the difference though.

I think about this a lot, but I keep coming back to the original DB7. Just a perfectly balanced, elegant shape.

Are we talking "of all time" here, or just modern cars. Aston martin DB5 is what i think is the most beautiful car of all time .... .
At the moment, either the DB9.......
Or the BMW Z4

Toss up between the sl65 and the db5 for me. Sl65 is one of the coolest around imo, since every house they go to on mtv cribs have an sl!!

Sure - but right is right. The thing I don't like about the DB9 is that it is almost indistinguishable from a DB7, V8, Vanquish, etc. They're all pretty and well proportioned but just variations on a theme, a theme that started with the XK8. Kind of like Reese Witherspoon: beautiful but in a generically blonde way.

The Murcielago looks like nothing else and few cars can match it for presence. I would struggle to call it beautiful though. It is brutal, aggressive, striking; but not beautiful. Sort of like Grace Jones.

The DS is graceful, elegant, unusual, curvaceous, sculpted, organic, timeless. Like Iman Bowie.

Citroen DS gets my vote. If I saw someone with one I'd probably say 'nice car mate'. Many (not all!!) of the other cars posted here are too new, and lets be honest, likely to provoke raging envy! The DS makes me smile. As Lex Luthor said about bosses son with DB9 'spoilt daddies boy'.
