Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Any bog standard wireless router will do for the house where the broadband is will do, and then a laptop with a wireless card or if its a desktop a pci wireless card will do for the other house accross the street.

mmm depending on building materials of houses I'd have my doubts about the signal reaching that far tbh. Unless you use some high gain antenna on router.

Get a router with two BNC connections use the standard omni directional for your house then buy a directed antenna and point it at your parents. The should also buy a PCI card with a BNC connection and buy a directed antenna i'd imagine that setup would work but as irlrobins it depends on the material in the walls of the houses.

Someone is bound to have tried something simular to your setup already.

wireless cads use RP-SMA connections for the antenna, not BNC. Most routers user RP-SMA or the likes of Linksys use RP-TNC connectors
