does anyone know why some 4 bed duplex's have a window in the main sitting room instead of double doors?

The ones facing the main road only have the window insteadof double doors, and they have one less window in the large second bedroom.

I can't remember the justification, only that it has something to do with facing the main road.

do you know is this normally made clear when paying deposit? the 4 bed duplex show house certainly has all sets of double doors, wrap around balcony and the bedroom window? They didn't seem to point out to anyone that there was a chance you wouldn't get these things?

Yes - it was made clear to us, because we're getting one of the affected ones side-facing the big green (and road).

If the unit you selected is not side-facing the main road (i.e., along the big centre green dividing the entire estate and leading up to the Crescent), then it won't apply, so there is no reason for them to mention it.

found out more about this and in fact the affected four beds missing four things!
    1) window instead of double doors
    2) window in bedroom
    3) window in bedroom 2
    4) window in front of sink in kitchen

Changed to one with all of the above, seems ridiculous they charge the same amount for a house missing all of the above
Also were never told about these things by anyone!
