Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Strange Kernel32.dll problem

I was trying to get live streaming of the Blackburn Liverpool game earlier and for my sins the software did something to windows. The essence of the problem seemed to be the following message
An Application named Win32 Kernel core component (file named kernel32.dll)
has been blocked from accessing network

I could'nt use the net basicly. I managed to fix the problem though tbh I'm not entirely sure how, I ended up manualy zapping files from anything that was installed today.

The streaming programme was called pcast.exe doing a bit of googling it seems I may have got hit with spysheriff or a variation thereof.

Anyone else suffered this sort of thing?

    Mike.

Check ur system for a rootkit

Kernell32.dll is what it says it is and should never be modified by anything.

The only reason to attach or patch this process is to do something you shouldnt (hooking apis .....)
