The Electric Fix once again presents a night of alternative rock and electronic mayhem – this time featuring the wonderful NOISE CONTROL, ILYA K and SUPER EXTRA BONUS PARTY. This is the collective’s 14th show since its debut in June 2005 and sees the welcome return of Super Extra Bonus Party, while both Noise Control and Ilya K both make their debut appearances at this musical blast.

    Noise Control
have been causing a lot of consternation on the Irish music scene of late with a live show that has to be seen to be believed and a collection of songs merging the best of guitar rock and pumping techno. Comprising the musical talents of guitarists Kevin Whyms and Bobby McMahon, vocalist Mark K.I.D., drummer, Declan Herbert and bassist, El Byrne, Noise Control cross thumping beats with atmospheric guitars melodies to create original songs that pack an explosive live punch. Noise Control made an instantaneous impact on the Dublin music scene with a scintillating performance supporting Mylo, Underworld and Basement Jaxx in Marley Park last summer. Then Noise Control were hand picked by The Prodigy from a long list of competing bands for the support on the Irish leg of their European tour, where the band caused mass hysteria among Prodigy's fans with three unforgettable performances in Dublin, Belfast and Cork. With innovative tunes like "Cities & Dreams", "Our Life" and "Take It", Noise Control merge the kind of relentlessly funky beats of The Chemical Brothers with the melodic guitar atmospherics of Radiohead to create their own exciting musical hybrid. Already packing a formidable collection of tunes, Noise Control are best enjoyed in a live setting when they infuse their songs with the kind of unstoppable energy currently making them one of the most exciting live acts in Dublin.
Ilya K are a new Irish rock band, from Waterford, who were formed in late 2004. Fusing tough, spiraling guitars and a thumping rhythm section with a hint of electronica they have developed a sound that can only be described as uniquely Ilya K.
Their powerful live show has grown over the past year through playing extensively in the Southeast and now they are moving out to spread the word as far as their van will take them! Coming soon to a town near you...
Formerly known as the ‘Illegal Kids’ in a previous incarnation, Super Extra Bonus Party combine bouncing electronica beats and sounds with a solid and inventive rhythm section. Re-formed in late 2005, original members Cormac Brady and Mick Donnelly were joined by Stephen Fahy on bass and recently supported Channel One at their single launch show in Whelan’s as well as taking part in last years Electric Fix Weekender.
They recently released a live set on the famed Alphabet Set’s net label and are going back into recording soon to finish their first EP proper.

"One man air punching". Aural assault via verbal and sound sha'ttack, this Electric Fixer is known for abrasive and commanding shows, expect dubby sounds by way of mount-joy division and synth growls by way of your (f)ears.
