Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    NSC’s campaigns cost €2.5 million a year. DOE’s campaigns cost £1.5 million a year.
    So at an exchange rate of 1.6 the DOE are spending nearly as much as down here. (€2.16m http://www.xe.com/ucc/)

    We have a much bigger population
    We have a way higher death rate
    We have far more money to spend on road transport

    How many hours would €2.5m keep the NRA going ?
    How many driving tests could we get for €2.5m ?

    What's with the privitasation of speed cameras, am I being cynical in seeing it as a stealth tax rather since they won't be cost effective in areas where they drastically reduce speeding ?

    Anyone else see the "tabloid" headline that 25% of road deaths this year are foreign nationals. Then again do foreign nationals watch enough Irish TV to make it worth doing ads in foreign langagues ?

    Of course enforcement and driver testing/education might help too.

    I dont see the link between population difference and media coverage? If you have a tv station/one newspaper could just as easily be seen by 4 milion as 1.5 milion..

    Anyways the ads/campaigns are crap, all they do is try to scare, none of them have any educational merit.
