Feck, must have been rescheduled. It was supposed to be on tonight - see here!

Got it from Digiguide earlier in the week, and even had it added to my Sky Planner! :(

EDIT: D'oh.. it was on last night - the fact it was on after 12am last night threw me (as it was indicated as Thurs 16 May)!

    Very good night for films
The Onion Field on 3e (although the book is better) on at 3e with Milliers Crossing on at 3.40 am on tv3.
Also Almost Famous on rte two at 1.20 am.
If I had to chose between the three would probably be Millers Crossing.
The scene in the forest with John Turturo and Gabriel Byrne a classic.
Byrne plays these gangsters roles very well.

    Armageddon on TG4 now

    Road Trip on TV3 now...

.. the best, by far, of the 'American Pie' clones. And directed by Todd Phillips (who went on to direct 'Old School' and more recently 'The Hangover').

TG4 very good for the old films. Whatever happened to Elizabeth Shue. She was very good in that film

    1990s - present

Saw her in Curb Your Enthusiasm, on More 4, a couple of weeks ago. Very good in Leaving Las Vegas alright.

    Cool Hand Luke: 9:35 TG4

If you have never seen Cool Hand Luke before, please, please watch it.
It's quite possibly Paul Newman's greatest film.
You'll thank me if you do.

The Lord of the Rings:The Fellowship of the Ring - 7:00 Channel 4.

and The Man Who Wasn't There is on Channel 4 at 0:50. This is probably my 2nd-favourite Coen Brothers film (after Fargo), and stars Billy Bob Thornton as a small-town barber, who manages to translate a little ambition in to some amazingly bad luck. The cinematography is stunning, too.

From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch’.

Its 80s week on the BBC (all channels except the news), tonight on BBC2 is a rarely screened cheesy sci-fi number - The Final Countdown with Martin Sheen and Kirk Douglas. A nuke powered aircraft carrier gets transported back through time to the eve of Pearl Harbour. Can the attack on Dec 7th 1941 be averted and what will happen if they try to use 1980 firepower in WW2 era?

    Starts at 00.10am

I reckon I could do it, Das Boot is one of my favourite films and that is ''proper cinema'' ;) while being quite the marathon too.
