    Chasing Amy is on RTE2, 11:05PM. I saw this long ago, and I only remember bits of it, but it's widely considered to be Kevin Smith's best film.

    Jumpers on E4 @ 20.00 (Darth Vader, Samuel L Jackson) I like this. Seen it a few times.
    A genetic anomaly allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere. He discovers this gift has existed for centuries and finds himself in a war that has been raging for thousands of years between "Jumpers" and those who have sworn to kill them.

    Brokeback Mountain on RTE2 @ 21.00 (Never bothered to watch this, may see what all the fuss was about)

    Raising Arizona is on Film4, Friday, 11PM. Early Coen Brothers comedy with Nicholas Cage, Holly Hunter, John Goodman. Highly recommended.

    Saturday Lunchtime movie: The Gay Divorcée (1933), BBC2, 12:20PM. The story could be a bit confusing to modern audiences - I remember I was confused when I first saw it - but it's something like this: back in the old days, to get a divorce in England, there had to be a 3rd party involved. If there wasn't one already, you could "rent a co-respondent" i.e. pay someone to pretend to be your lover, just so you could divorce your husband or wife. This film is about a case of mistaken identity: the prospective divorcée thinks a young man chasing her is her rented co-respondent, but he's not - he's just in love.

    But even if you can't or don't care about the story ... the divorcée and the young man are played by Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. Does the film contain Dancing? What do you think? It's quite Gay, but not gay, if you know what I mean. A welcome blast from the past, I think. :cool:

    If you get BBC4: Il Divo, 12:35am. Possibly the most entertaining biopic I've ever seen: Italian politician Giulio Andreotti is, shall we say, a controversial figure, and the story is not told "straight". Not at all. At times it seems as if Italy was governed by a cross between the Godfather and Nosferatu. :eek:

    Like most Oscar Winners it's barely scraps into the "Alright" Category.

    I watched it once and I'd never watch it again.
