Command and Conquer is in development again! It's set in the tiberian series of games, and live-action cutscenes are back.

Excellent! C&C was the first game I ever got so I have been a fan of them for years and thought the best was Red Alert 2. Generals had not got the same gameplay although decent graphic, still kind of sucked. Can't wait for this!

Um, Red Alert was originally made by Westwood. EA bought them out and produced generals, unless I am horribly mistaken. Expect more of the same, cheesy EA slant, for this.

That said, alot of people liked Generals, I just wasnt one of them. And another yay! to live action cutscenes.

When all is said and done, I am still looking forward to this. Though more so to Supreme Commander.

My favourite was the original Red Alert, I thought it was a great game, come to think of it, I feel like having a search for it and playing it again!. Good news to see it in development again, unfortunate that EA are behind it (never knew that Westwood was bought out by EA), I suppose it'll be like everything else they produce; devoid of lifespan and wholly unsatisfying.

Part of me still feels none of them can compare to the original Westwood RTS game: "Dune 2: The Battle For Arrakis", I remember playing that way back when on my megadrive...
Within the C&C series though I didn't think C&C 2 was particularly good, prefered the first one.

ya, there were some pretty cool cutscenes there. the camera always seemed to have a nice angle on tanya's.....assets

if its a seaquel to tiberian sun, will it begin from the victory of the GDI or the victory of the Brotherhood?

Always been a fan of this series particulary the tiberian universe and can't wait for this title to be released.

i dont see how they could continue on from either of the endings of tiberian sun. maybe they'll just re-interpret the endings, so the new one can continue...although they were pretty big endings, either way.

if the gdi wins, your commander guy (from terminator) kills Kane, and stops the spread of tiberian. and if the brotherhood wins, then Kane covers the entire earth in Tiberian.

and from the basic story released so far, neither of these have happened.

Im not sure but in firestorm aparantly kane was still alive, well i think it was kanes brain coz u saw that in the last cutscene. not sure if it was the brotherhood ending or GDI's. i just think there gonna continue it on from there, possibly adding cabal as a third faction.

Anyway i cant wait for this i heard of a sequel to tiberian sun a long while back but it was cancelled, i wonder if they will go back to the old base building although the one in generals made things a bit more interesting IMO.

if EA **** around like with renegade and u can only play as GDI there would be a **** load of complaints , i am loyal to NOD i bought renegade but only played multiplayer i have never played its single player because u can only be gdi what a load of bollox

ok then the orginal CnC ended gdi won and they didnt ion the temple they just sieged it kanes body was never found
when anton slavick took command of the brotherhood kane retruned and gdi won again kane was slain
then slavick once again took controll of the brotherhood and caball rebelled leading to a temp gdi/nod alliance , we dont know which side won be belive gdi because they now have the ataticus and are studying it. Kane and caball both still live.

the screens on this thread piqued my interest, however the screen on eurogamer looks uninteresting imo.

realism makes things more interesting

I was never a big fan of the GDI vs NOD storyline but it was the gameplay that always brought me back for more. Can't wait for this
