Ok officially we open POGO in November 2004 , but really that was just the conception. POGO was truly brought into the world in May 2005 when we opened it as the 3 rooms , anything goes clubnight it has become today .


The real aim was to put on the best music we could possibly get and to always go for quality over anything else. Like all our clubs we also had a heavy focus on local talent and bringing in local promoters, labels, websites and collectives to help us run what was in effect a superclub with a 800-1000 capacity every week.

Over the last year we’ve put on nearly every musical style you can think of @ POGO had countless number of acts and DJ’s play for us, and basically ran a little festival every week at the top of Harcourt St. Its been a riot almost every week and here’s to more of the same for the next 12 months

For the birthday party we’ve got for an across the board mish-mash of music that reflects the ethos of POGO. Not one single big headliner but instead a guest in each room to make sure each area has its own vibe and atmosphere .

We'll also be doing loads of extra decor on the night, loads of visuals, goodie packs and if we can get clearance a BBQ in the courtyard aswell. Doors will open from 9pm too so thats 6 hours of fun and quality music too. We hope that by opening doors early (ala Carl Craig recently ) people will space out alot better and it'll make for a more enjoyable night. Plus there'll be no crowd from an early gig either so we've got the place to ourselves for a change - should all make for a crackin party !

Also please note tickets are available in advance from ticketmaster and that we've gone for an extra bigger reduction on the door for members. its e20 in normally , but e15 with a members card.

one of the best dj's we've ever had over full stop - Brique Rouge head honcho David Duriez makes his long awaited return to POGO. He ripped the place apart last year so we're expecting more of the same. POGO weekly resident Barry Redsetta will be handing out free copies of his POGO birthday cd and playing great music, while POGO promoter Tayor will be looking frantically for any techno records to convince us all he was into it before it became fashionable again

Krafty Kuts best mate A Skillz joins Sir Nic James on the decks for an all-out attack on the POGO PUB senses . We'll be constructing a special stage for this gig on the night and getting rid of alot of the furniture in the bar to make sure they're plenty of space for dancing and messing . A SKILLZ is a serious deck technician so your in for a treat in this room .

New Finnish Superstars in the making PUTSCH 79 from Clone Recordings make thier Irish debut. Some of the contemporary artists Putsch '79 is influenced by one can mention Chicken Lips, Metro Area, Daniel Wang, Kelley Polar Quartet and Legowelt. Some good and influential deejays to their music would be Frankie Knuckles, Glimmer Twins and of course Serge, the head of the clone records.

Les Bien is a band whose raison d'aitre is pumping out super charged dancing music with the driven force of a hundred naked sex-starved nymphos rammed tight inside a bouncy room. This musical orgy began late in the summer of 2005 and has since been gathering rumbling momentum. Thus far they have delved deep into the genres of electro, funk, rock, and punk, the results of which exude definite lascivious tendencies, as can be found in activities such as erotic line dancing and love jumping. Their sound is a crossing of Daft Punk, Car-Chase music and ZZTop, a ménage a trois never before deemed possible.
