im the same, i see nothing no matter whos ciricle i click on.
    just a blank grey screen.

    what is wrong?

    have i broken it?

Zonealarm doesn't like it for me, although I actually haven't found a proper way around it short of turning zonealarm off, which obviously isn't great

  • Registered Users Posts: 68,317 ✭✭✭✭seamus

It needs Java and you need to configure Zonealarm and those other crappy programs to allow Java to make outgoing connections.

bubbles has unwittingly kind of messed this up. If one of the admins would be so nice as to delete all of bubbles' friends, then it may appear better.

Ah is that whats messing it up?

Ive no idea what this is all about. I have added no-one to my friends list, yet when I click my own 'circle' there are plenty there. Are these people who have added me?

Is it the people who you have PMed in recent times or what?

I think Sparky's circle just broke my computer...

I think it's actually showing DubGuys circle because he's your only friend. It's like an extended circle or friends, or something.

    Nice :)

It's also a useful visual aid for deciding who you should dislike, purely on their association with others ;)

Wouldn't it make sense to only include mutual friends, rather than people who've made a one-way connection? Could probably then display more than 2 degrees of separation. Could look interesting then...

I find it crashes a good bit. Quick refresh gets it moving again.

    Good idea. I second that.

    May of discovered something.
I left the circle in forced mode while I went downstairs, then when I came back to check 24, I got logged out.

    Anyone else get this?

I just get a grey screen with a message atthe bottom that says "load: class prefuse. Radial/Force Applet not found".

Any idea how to get around this? Never had problems with applets before.

Might need to upgrade > Java 1.5...

I'm going to remove banned members now and just do the graphs based on outgoing (not incoming) links... The mutual could be the next step...

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,049 ✭✭✭Cloud

Looks a lot better now :) Using mutual links and banned users are not shown.

Also, the full network can be seen at:

    http://www.boards.ie/circle/all.php

Use the right mouse button/drag to zoom out/in, left mouse and drag to move around.

Edit: Well, one hour since the last post so that took just an hour ;)

Going to have to show my ignorance here, but how do I find out what version I currently have, and how do I upgrade it?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,793 ✭✭✭✭Hagar

Is "Cloud" the default setting for un-regged users?
I absentmindly clicked on circle on an un-regged user posting in PI and it came up as Cloud and all his friends.
Either that or I've blown your cover John. ;)

Maybe the logging out thing could of being a FF issue.
