Root canal on the front tooth has not taken. It is infected (puss coming from gums around area). Can this be dangerous to your health.

I would advise you to have the root canal redone as soon as possible. The longer you let this go, the more damage that is being done to the bone around your tooth. This is not something that will resolve on its own. Can I ask if it is an upper or lower front tooth?

As far as danger goes, these infections have (rarely) been known to spread to other parts of the face, head, neck, blood stream and brain, so that is another reason to have this seen to immediately. The fact that pus is coming out possibly lessens the danger of the infection spreading slightly but, as I said earlier, this is not something that will resolve on its own.
