I thought you worked in a Toyota dealer ;)

do you not know about the TTE chips that Toyota are bringing out for the D-4D engines?

    won't void warranty.

Wait for the intercooled Hilux next year if you want more power

    Ok here's what I know:

You can get a dash switch to switch upgrades on and off, depending on your mood

    Corolla 2.0
    90bhp to 116bhp 215NM to 255NM

    Avensis 2.0 D-4D old model
    110bhp to 140bhp 250NM to 295NM

Avensis 2.0 D-4D new model (also Rav4 and Corolla Verso and Avensis Verso)
    116bhp to 140bhp 250NM to 300NM

    Land Cruiser 5 speed 2000-2004
    163bhp to 204bhp 343NM to 405NM

    Land Cruiser 6 speed 2004-2006
    166bhp to 204bhp 410NM to 470NM

Hilux old model (also Hiace standard model and Dyna 100)
    88bhp to 106bhp 192NM to 235NM

Hilux new model (also Dyna 150 and Hiace 102bhp)
    102bhp to 128bhp 260NM to 300NM

No sign of any upgrades for the 1.4 Diesel Corolla

go onto www.tte.de for more cool Toyota upgrades. Dealers will be stocking them soon too

That is a very interesting mod. You would have much more faith in it not causing problems down the line that the stuff superchips and the like do. The fact they most likely had access to all the source code for the ECU is also a very good thing.

It is hard to see them getting much more out of the 1.4 D4D though, it is a pretty remarkable achievment as it is.

yeah, they started with the 2002 Yaris 1.4 D-4D engine, which itself was modelled around the 1.5 VVT-i Yaris T-Sport engine, I think 90bhp is as much as they could reliably get out of it.

    Like a "boost" button :D

Pretty cool option. Any idea of prices?

As far as I can tell, about €1200 fitted,

This lad does tuning boxes for the D4D for €495.00 Euros with 3 year warranty. On the 3.0l it increases the bph from 166 to 190bph and torque from 410 to 450 nm

that will invalidate your Toyota warranty though, and the power gains aren't that great
