my mother wants to get an new gas boiler fitted out to the garden shed aprox 10ft from the house... her existing boiler is a baxi boiler, that sits in where the original coal back boiler would of sitted...

As the boiler will be fitted outside the house, Should a frost stat be fitted in parrallel with the main timer? or is that over-kill for our climate?

Our current system has a thermo-stat fitted in the hall way, it looks like this is powered from the time clock, and if the actual temperture is below the setpoint it supplies power to the boiler? do people bother fitting thermo-stat's like that these days?

from memory if the thermo-stat is set to zero, it dissables the circulation pump, hence only heats up-stairs rads and the hotwater cilinder, does this sound right?

    thanks
