    Hi Guys,
Is anyone involved in a local website e.g. town, village, area, with the usual stuff - local news, history, pics, and making some money through sponship or offering pages to local businesses.
It's something I've been doing as a hobby but might consider as a serious business. Any responses, ideas, advice welcome.

Yes - I'm doing it, and it is possible to make a living out of it for a large town. You need good traffic to generate money. You need frequent high quality content and promotion to get good traffic. It takes a while to build to a point where there's decent revenue.
