This subject has probably been touched on before but...if i have a website i obviously want it to be right up there on google. Without paying so that its one of them ones that comes up the top of the page how can i get my website to be listed in the first few pages? Is it all about the words in it or is there something more? If people search for it will it keep moving up the more times it searched for?

The Google search algorithm is a highly gaurded secret.
They have released aspects of it.

The only way to get up the rankings is to know about the subject with regard to onsite and offsite web optimisation, then implement them on to your own site.

Have a read of this ebook

The chap who wrote it also moderates the forum mentioned above, he also recommends buying his software, however, the principles and tactics in the ebook are sound.

    Search for what?
Peoples search queries can be quite different but they may still end up on your site.

You can buy an optimisation package from some providors - I know Novara does one and I think some of the other big companies do them too.
