Broadband in Cork

I need help I live in cork just off washington st. and I want to get broadband preferably wireless because I dont have the phone line connected (and dont want to pay eircoms huge charges for connection and line rental). but cant find any company that does it.

I did have the irish broadband box for a bit but it was so bad that dial up is actually faster believe it or not (no exaggeration).

There must be other ways of getting wireless broadband or at least broadband without having to pay line rental to eircom or not having to pay colossal prices.

Try http://www.amocom.com/. I use Airwave Internet (http://www.airwaveinternet.net/), different company but using the same technology from Azotel. No complaints really, does what it says on the tin.

Chorus could be worth looking at. I have no idea how good their service is but it is cable and NTL cable BB is excellent.
