    Hey Everyone!
I was just wondering - Has any one applied for music in UCC? If you have did you already do the entrance exam? Was it difficult? I have mine on saturday and I'm really nervous. They place a big emphasis on notation and I suck at that... big time... So does anyone have any feedback?

Friend of mine did it, 3 actually.. One of them is a musical genious and he said the interview went like he was already in, the guy loved what he composed and he said he really enjoyed what played on guitar while singing..

The others said it was a bit "iffy", but its grand all the same, you can only do your best. You should have asked your teacher to give you some extra harmonies/melodies to do..

Had mine two weeks ago, it went ok. My examiner was english though and I sang and played traditional, wrote my essay on traditional music and for my notational skills changed a jig to a hornpipe... I really dunno how it went!

I did it last year and I thought I ****ed it up and I had the head of the music department examining me, which was probably worse. I got into it no problem though, but didn't except it when I got offered the place. put it down this year again, cos i'm repeating just for the sake of it, so I didnt have to do it again as it stood to me from last year.
