Somebody I know reckons he knows the location of every street in Cork City, (I've already tested him on the following and he got most of them right).

    98 street
    Alacoque Place
    Allinetts Lane
    Balmoral Terrace
    Bandfield Road
    Beasley Street
    Bleasby street,
    Brighton Place
    Brockelsby(?) st
    Broguemakers Hill,
    Brown(s?) Hill
    Farrens Quay,
    Ferry Lane,
    Fish Street
    Fullers Place,
    Hardwicke Street
    John Philpott-Curran Street,
    Keysers Hill
    Lynches St
    Maymount Villas
    Ophelia Place
    Salvador Place
    Ship Street
    Skiddys Homes,
    Sober Lane,
    Soho Terrace
    Waggetts Lane,
    Water Street

So... please help me with suggestions for a new list!

Guidelines: Streets/ boreens/ lanes/housing estates(the newer the better) etc. etc, all can be considered. Also I don't mind if the "street" is "slightly" outside the city, as long as I can kind of argue that it is in Cork...

    Thanks
    P

(please tell me where the "street" is though!)

Father Matthew Street? I had trouble finding that myself. Not Father Mathew Avenenue, Father Mathew Place, Father Mathew Mews or Father Mathew Hill - I could find all those.

He hasn't got that Cork City Council online map in front of him, has he?

Try some of the lanes on North Main Street that don't exist any more. (Walk along the street with your head down, look for brass plaques.)

Adelaide St (where Currans restaurant is) but he'll probably get that one!

Prospect Row. The street that links the Mercy to the start of Sheares Street, near Blu Bambu

Woods Street, the one that runs down by the side of Blu Bambu

Perott Avenue, the little road leading to the Hayfield Manor

Willow Place off Togher Road? A little lane.

Dang, don't know the names of most streets, actually.

I would love if that ridiculously long-named street was a tiny little alley off some other street that no one cares or knows about (don't mind me, I'm weird).

I know my way around Cork well enough but I confess, I don't know the street names too well. About three years ago all I knew was Patrick Street, Paul Street, Washington Street and the South Mall. I wasn't even sure where the Grand Parade was....well, I knew where it was, just not what it was called.

Maybe I have one to add to the list....."Coach Street". Everyone probably knows it but I only found out about it a few days ago.

I can't remember the name, but there used to be a lane from South gate Bridge to Meade Street. It is split in two places, so it is now in three sections. EDIT apparently Blackmore Lane, off Sober Lane.

Lots of old lanes around Barrack Street & Shandon Street.

    old post office lane,

was a lovely (albeit urine soaked) lane that used to link the grand parade with south main street until about 1 year ago when some building work commenced on that carpark on south main street, it had the fire escapes for sir henrys or something near
