    This time its the Economist/IBM ' e-readiness' survey

    It measures e-readiness by a number of indicators. The Economist are not mugs and did not buy this 85% DSL BS from eircom so we dropped down from 15th to 16th in the world, almost entirely based on our DISMAL connectivity infrastructure weighting within the survey .

    Had DSL been widely available ....instead of available to somewhere around 54.4% of the population today .......we could have made it into the top 10 because other e-readiness indicators like banking/government are quite good here.

    an dif you look closely, it was one of the lowest increases of any recorded country!!!
    top performer then???? perhaps not!
