Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Cullen publishes Report of Public Inquiry on Proposed Luas Extension to Cherrywood
    26 April 2006

Today (Wednesday, 26th April 2006), Transport Minister, Martin Cullen, T.D. announced that he has published the Report of the Public Inquiry held under the Transport (Railway Infrastructure) Act 2001 on the extension of the LUAS Line B (Stephen's Green to Sandyford) from the existing stop at Sandyford Industrial Estate to Cherrywood. This follows an application made for the extension to Cherrywood by the RPA to Minister Cullen in November 2005.

The route as proposed will involve the construction of approx. 7.6km of light railway with eleven stops along the extension. The Report covers issues ranging from submissions made by the public, interest groups, and businesses to EIS matters.

The report is available for purchase from the Government Publications Sale Office and can also be accessed on the Department's website at:

    http://www.transport.ie/viewitem.asp?id=7493&lang=ENG&loc=845

Minister Cullen is now considering the relevant documentation, including the report which was prepared and submitted to him by an independent inspector, James Connolly, S.C.

Currently, some 32,000 people use the LUAS Green Line on a daily basis while the weekly average number of users is over 220,000 people.
