Test coming up and no license : PANIC

I passed my bike test last week so had to hand in my old provisional license , but haven't yet received the new ones (full for bike, provisional for car).

I got a call this afternoon offering a cancellation next Wednesday and was thrilled to get it, so said yes, fine, completely forgetting that I am waiting on the car license to be posted.

Now am panicking that its not going to be here in time.
Is there any point in going to the motor tax office and explaining the situation, can they get me one by next Wednesday ?

Ring them first thing in the morning.

man everything is possible.i went in at around 2.30pm and i had a court case in the morning .they took 5mins to give me one.just talk with them

i got mine in 5mins in nutgrove where do you live.also try bring a confirmation date sheet with you.did you recieve one from the test centre if not then request them to email or fax you one as it will make the licence come quicker

Thats perfect as Nutgrove is just up the road from me here! (is in fact where I handed in my old provisional license).
Do they send confirmation sheets for cancellation test dates? , the lady I was talking to was very careful to make sure I had the date, test centre and time correct.
I'll give them a call tomorrow, why don't they do the damn things there in the first place if its just a matter of printing out ??, anyhow, drdre you've relieved a lot of stress here , thanks

Got a bunch of lessons booked up between now and the test..I want to be insurable on a MX-5 1.8L..so failing is really not an option!

Yes it was, was being refurbished, but is opened up again
