    Hello

    Maybe someone can answer this.

    What is the maximum amount of Cash a person may recieve as a gift from a Parent before having to pay tax.

    I have checked Revenue.ie but could only find information relative to property.

    i think the value is €400k or something like that or is that property value they can pass over without tax!!?Remember when the euro lotto was won figures like that were doin the rounds

    Son/Daughter can receive € 478,155 from their parents (this is a lifetime
    limit) without being liable to CAT.
