Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New traffic bollards on Westlink causing Lucan standstill

The Westlink operators recently "bollarded-off" the slip road from the N4 onto the M50 northboard to stop cars/trucks lane hopping. The result this week has been traffic gridlock on the left hand lane inbound on the N4 and a resultant gridlock in Lucan village as the gridlock has blocked access from eg Fonthill Road onto the N4 inbound. SDCC say it's the Westlink operators who are responsible, Dublin City Council say SDCC etc. Anybody any views before I tear whatever hair I have left out?

Yes, the work was done by NTR.
    See: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054914248
It seems to be working well for those already on the M50 North.

You can give your feedback by phone (1850 67 67 68) or e-mail (info@eazypass.ie). A letter to the General Manager, Declan White, might be better.

That bridge is a joke - they should move the northbound toll booths 1km north so it is a a good distance from any junctions.

anyway - can you not drive in the rightmost lane approaching the roundabout and then circle around the roundabout and onto the slip road when the conjestion is particularly bad? save you queuing in the left lane when it is jammed

It ****s up the whole system. If the traffic is in any way bad, all three lanes get congested as do the feeder roads (around Liffey Valley, out of Lucan village, etc), so you can't really do much better with that trick. It's a complete joke.
