Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think I read somewhere that monkey's eat their bananas differently to humans. They peel from the opposite end....

It was mentioned on Pharyngula. They squeeze thr bottom of the banana and it pops open, unlike the way the tab usually breaks off at the top. (wordscannotdescribehowmuchIhatebananas...)

Thunderf00t shows us that Ray now uses that piece as a comedy skech. If you have seen his "Why do people laugh at creationists" series, it's in there. If you haven't get watching!

This thread should be stickied. Or put in a museum* or something.

I'm pretty sure I've seen monkeys tear the skin of with their teeth, at no place in particular. Maybe different groups of monkeys or different monkeys individually open them their own way.

Ladies and gents, for your education and entertainment:

    Here's a monkeyish banana-opening technique.

And here are some professionals in action.

The things you learn in this forum...!

Must show this to my kid and see if I can get a meme going in her pre-school :)

Hmmm it seems you're right. Nicely played my Mr Hatter.

Edit: Wait I was right, those monkeys in the vid are tearing them open with their teeth...

    My mind is blown.

I think we have finally found a way to counter the intelligent design argument.

If those are gorillas, I need to go back to school.

Though their hands are tiny - their teeth are probably better for squeezing one end anyhow. I can't really see which end they're opening the thing with, tbh.

Surely the Irish are the chosen race.

Us being the worlds largest export of banannas and all.
    Honest!!!
