Bought a 2 bed in the Park which will be ready soon. Anyone put in a burglar alarm in their house? Any recommendations on type, company, price etc? Thanks.

We paid just over €500 for a 2 bed alarm installation, but that didn't include any inertia sensors etc. We used Lara alarms who were very professional. There may be a couple of numbers for alarm companies in the "handy numbers" thread.

I have a 2 bed apartment in the Park - I bought a wire free alarm by Yale from Argos for just over €300 and it works well with a load of features. Batteries last up to 5 years in each of the units and is doddle to instal by yourself - instruction manual is excellent.

We used Phonewatch. The monitoring service is great and they carry out regular inspections and tests.
