In an area thats pay and display Monday - Saturday, do you need to display on bank holiday Mondays or are they treated like Sundays ?

Good question Longfield as I have wondered exactly the same thing for some time.

Litcagral, what is the authority for your advice ? I am not challenging you but would like to have something definitive to quote if a problem ever arose on a bank holiday !

I know that some local authorities may give a weasel-word statement and state that it not their practice to enforce parking regs on a bank holiday blah blah.... However, I would like something certain from which to argue a position.

surely bank holidays can't be a free for all where people can park anywhere they like, there has to be some regulation surely?

No not anywhere they like. What the OP is referring to are parking meters and pay and display areas which don't usually have to be paid on a Sunday or Bank Holiday.
