Is Ebdon really going to pul of one of the greatest comebacks in the history of the game? He annoys the hell out of me sometimes but he really knows how to cue a ball.

I just backed him @ 7-2. Outside chance but I wouldn't rule out a comeback to win.

It's beginning to look very exciting now. 15-11 at the interval and Ebdon has taken the first 4 tonight.
I hope it will be a 17-17 late night showdown

It's looking very interesting! I love the way snooker can be incredibly relaxing and exciting at the same time. We could be in for a bit of a classic after the last interval!

That last frame was the longest ever at the crucible - 74 minutes! At this rate they'll be finishing up on breakfast TV.

If they keep playing like this we'll be lucky if it's only 1am!

I actually typed 2 am but then thought 'nah it wont be that bad'!

I usually watch the finals but its gone from absorbing to tedious.

Hope that 74 minute frame isn't a sign of things to come... that was just daft.

Damn I really want to watch the rest of this but I'm up early :(
This better not turn out to be one of those 'epic' finals.

Dott is actually looking quite nervy. If Ebdon can get to within 1 frame, hes gonna go on to win.

Last night was crap but virtually all of todays play has been very absorbing imo. I was hoping Peter would make a come back and he has but it would be nice to see Dott make it in the end. Probably never be there again. Unfortunately it looks like he'll crumble under this.

Dott looks like his nerves have gotten the better of him. time for a kit kat..

    surely 15-13 now
    an incredible comeback

Ebdon has won the last 7 so his experience in the big games may be the difference, but he still needs 5 frames and at say 30 mins a frame average even if Dott does'nt win another thats....work it out!

ebdon is evens to win on paddypower.com now at 15 frames to 13. dott looks rocked. he is twitching and scratching in his seat. doesn't look good for the scot

Wonder if Dott is thinking about that Hendry/White final a few years back. Think hendry won 10 on the trot to win 18-15

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,653 ✭✭✭m_stan

bedtime. up at 6. guess I'll find out who won then :(

ebdon is such a BORING player to watch this final is doin my nut in

14-16! It's not really the quality of the snooker that's keeping me up, they're not exactly might favourite 2 players either, it's the fact that we could end up with the greatest ever comeback in the game's history and the absolute agony that the loser will go through after such a marathon game of snooker.

17-14 - fantastic clearance from Dott. Fair play to him.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 992 ✭✭✭mchurl

Great clearance from Dott, still Ebdon in with a chance though imo, Dott has ben in five finals and never won any of them.

That Dott fella at the end when he was winning, kissing the trophy and screaming? What a nob.

Bit harsh to judge someone on what is a very emotional moment. Well done to him.

    Indeed .
Dott's been through the emotion mill this evening - Well done to him , and i have to agree with the bbc's commentator - What an ambassador for snooker peter ebdon is - i thought he might have had a chance .

    Indeed.

Just imagine the arrogance of the man, getting excitited about winning the highest prize in his profession.

Even though he is not a great player to watch I was glad Dott won it, you could really see that he put everything into his snooker and deserved a win.

that 68 break that brought Dott to 17 frames was an excellent break considering the pressure and form of dott all day yesterday
