Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

GLASGOW, April 30 (Reuters) - Celtic striker Shaun Maloney has made history by scooping the Scottish Players' Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year awards.

He received his unique double at the Scottish Professional Footballers' Association annual dinner on Sunday.

Maloney, 23, has become the first player in the 28-year history of the awards to receive both prizes.

He beat off strong competition from Bulgarian team mate Stilian Petrov for the senior prize.

A fantastic player and well deserved. 15 goals and probably double that in assists. :) It's incredible considering he missed the whole of last season with an injury. Here's a good article on him from the Scotland on Sunday:

I love watching him play and I hope he does himself justice in the Champions League next season.

Sooner they sign him up on a new contract the better. Great achievement indeed after such a bad injury. The wee man deserves it all. Also I`ll take this chance to say well done to the Reserves and the U19 teams who also won their respected leagues.:D

He out of contract next season? Wonder if Celtic have learned from previous mistakes.
