Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Preview available - http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=383618&CPID=8&clid=5&lid=3&title=Blackburn+v+Chelsea+preview

Maybe getting this thread started a bit early but should be a good game tonight. Chelsea look likely to rest the likes of Lampard and Terry while Blackburn will be going all-out for a win because two points will secure a UEFA Cup spot and a fantastic first full season in charge for Hughes.

It's also a bit of a grudge match because Hughes blames Mourinho as being the catalyst for Rovers becoming known as Blackeye Rovers.

It's unlucky for Rovers that Todd and Nelsen are missing, and shows how threadbare the squad is that Neill will have to play centre half, but I'm hoping for a 1-0 win.

Im hoping for a 5-0 win but thats just me :D
Kudos galore to Rovers for the great season too, who's their last match against and is the match on five live?

Man City at home is their last game but matches between Rovers and City always tend to end 0-0 and be very boring.

The game is definitely on Sky and I'd imagine it might be on Five Live.

Jose said in the press over the weekend he wouldnt play any of the 3 english players again this season. So Cole terry and Lampard wont play tonight if he really did say it.

Would imagine Blackburn win if they sscore 1st and run out the clock cant see Che trying very hard if they behind.

Wright-Philips is out to show that he is good enough for the World Cup squad, I'd be very surpised if he gets above 40% Completed passes.

A 2-1 win for blackburn though.

Wright Phillips' position in the squad definitely under pressure. I think Hughes will go for a win. Bellamy put two past Cech earlier this season and he'd love to get one (or maybe two :)) more this season.

don't think Chelsea will be too bothered , but if JM rests more than the promised 3 stars then there could be a lot of talent told to go and prove themselves before its too late.

    0-1 Chelsea.

Mourinho loves setting records and Chelsea could still set a points record by winning tonight if that Sky article is correct.

I fancy the Blackburn brusiers to get among Chelseas midfield and create oppotunities for Bellamy and Dickov. Draw or narrow win for Blackburn

I was happy to see Blackburn get the result. No loss for us it was a nothing game but great to see them in there.

Great result for Blackburn, Europe here we come!

Lucky that we got Chelsea in 'Champs' mode and took three when maybe one was on offer. Crespo can feel agrieved but the other two claims were just skimishes :D Savage free kick nearly just dropped into the goal by itself, what a crisp strike to the far post.

So he can wind up ppl AND play a bit too :D All credit to Mark Hughes what a great season and he seems to have a passionate 'squad' of players doing it for the club. MGP, Savage, Todd ,Fridel, Bentley, Bellamy, Reid, Gray ,Neil ,Kuqi et all
    take a bow.
    :)

Great season for Rovers but the team needs to be strengethed before next season. Last night's game showed up one of our main weaknesses - a lack of strength in depth.

Hughes spent little this season but the only player of worth he's brought in was Bellamy. Bentley, Kuqi and Khizanishvili should only be squad players.

I hope to god Pongelle isn't bought in the Summer, even if for a free. He has bags of pace but he passed to the Chelsea players more times than he found a team-mate last night.

New players will have to be bought. A right winger is needed, a left back is needed and a partner for Bellamy is essential. We could also do with some cover for the rest of the team.

Well done to Lucas Neill by the way, he was superb in the centre of defence.

From 15th to 6th after his first full-season, well done Mark Hughes.
