Contention Ratios

Hi all, Im considering signing up for the BT Option 1 package combined with line rental. They tell me they have a contention ration of 48:1 for this 1MB package. How do people find this? Am i likely to be sharing my connection with 48 people at the same time? If this was the case id be better of staying with dial-up. X.

Unless your very unlucky....everytime you download something on the 1Mbit package you'll always get over 100KBytes/s.

If everyone of the your shared 48 are downloading heavy then the speed will start to slow. But this is unlikely.
