Bush 27inch Widescreen LCD

    Right,

    Got this TV as a present. Now, its hooked up to NTL digital and the zoom setting is Auto so it will set the correct zoom level based on the signal being sent. Thing is, the freakin thing dont do what its told. Stations that are brodcasting in widescreen appear in stretched 4:3 ratio, no matter what setting i've tried the sides of the widescreen display are chopped off.

    Is it me doin something wrong or is the TV deserving of a box to the face and a return to the shop?

    Is it NTL Digital?

    I have some problems with channels on NTL. Aparently it is NTL not sending down the W/S flag correctly or at all.

    If Sky, then it may be the same problem but I can't comment on that.

    Is it connected to the NTL digital box with a Scart lead?

    sounds like the flag isnt there, or pin 18 of your scart may be dodgy.
    Thats if your using scart, I hope you are. :D

    Is your box in 16:9 mode?
