Increase in VAT Threshold Coming?

I heard talk of an increase in the VAT threshold a while back. I can't even remember where/when I heard it now. Was I dreaming? Tommy.

The VAT threshold for the sale of goods is increasing from €51,000 to €55,000 (I think the services threshold is increasing too).

The accountants association released a statement last year before the budget suggesting that the sale of goods VAT threshold be raised to €120,000
