The Speaker Conolly

I've been hearing references to the Speaker Conolly (spelled like that, with one 'n', I think), but know nothing about him, apart from the fact that he was a famous speaker in (Grattan's?) Parliament, very wealthy, and built Castletown House. Anyone got any more? Witty quotes? Speeches? Issues?
