Hi Guys, I've a Dell Inspiron 5160 using a wireless network. Up until the weekend everything was fine but now all of a sudden my computer says there are no signals in range. It is definitly my PC as I've tried using it on other wifi networks also. I've physically removed the card from the laptop and reinstalled but it's still not picking up any signal at all.

    Anybody any ideas?

    Thanks a mill,

    Tom

Is the card enabled? Go to Start->Control Panel->System. Click on hardward tab and then device manager. Is the wiress card listed? Any exclaimation or red cross icons appearing anywhere on the list?

Is the radio switched on? (Some laptops require Fn+F2 to switch radio on).

Have you tried wireless card on another laptop?

Edit: What model/make is wireless card?

    Hi thanks for your thoughts,

it's a Dell 1350 wireless card. This happened once before a few months ago - I just physically removed and replaced the card and then it started working again. I havent tried it in another laptop, I'll give it a shot. There seems to be no option for turning off the radio or anything similar and the card is installed correctly i.e. it appears in the hardware list and lists as functioning normally, also, the icon appears on the task bar and right-clicking on it gives me all the normal options. I've just ordered a cheap USB Bongle off Komplett to keep me going in the meantime.
