    We are pleased to announce that the Irish 2006 National Championship will be held at the following location:

    Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May 2006
    The Royal Dublin Hotel
    O’Connell Street
    Dublin 1

    The event will be held in conjunction with professional events organisers Irish Card Game Service Limited

    The event schedule confirmed so far:

    Saturday:
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG National Championship Day 1 (participation by invite only)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duel Academy Last Chance Qualifier (open to Under 13s only)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Enemy of Justice Sneak Preview Event (open to all)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Side Events (open to all)

    Sunday:
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG National Championship Day 2 (participation by invite only)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duel Academy Championship (participation by invite only)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Enemy of Justice Sneak Preview Event (open to all)
    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Side Events (open to all)



    Event Details

    The Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG National Championships.

    Players that have earned an invitation through certain previous events are allowed to participation. Day 1 will be 7 rounds of Swiss after which only the top 128 players will be allowed to play in Day 2.
    On Day 2, 4 more rounds of Swiss will take place followed by a top 8 knockout to determine the Irish National Champion!

    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duel Academy Last Chance Qualifier

    Open to players aged 13 or under, this event represents the last chance to compete in Sunday’s Duel Academy Championship event. The top 8 players from this event will be invited back on Sunday

    Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG Duel Academy Championship

    Young and upcoming players from around the country will compete for the title of Duel Academy Champion 2006! Only players that have earned an invite beforehand (including Saturday’s Qualifier) will be allowed to compete.

    Side Events

    Side Events will take place all day Saturday and Sunday for players who are unable to compete in any of the above event. There will also be a few Premier Side Events offering some unique prizes!

    Notes:
    There will be no last chance qualifiers for the Irish National Championship at the Royal Dublin Hotel venue. Please find a list of your nearest qualifier at http://www.upperdeckentertainment.com/op/

    The top 25 uninvited players ranked in Ireland as of WEDNESDAY 19th APRIL 2006 will also receive invitations to play in the National Championship.
