Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi just wondering if anyone could help me.
I have gotten an invite to a black tie event in a couple of weeks time.
Can anyone tell me what suit do I need to get for this do and where can I get it. I live in Waterford by the way.
Also what's the process like of going to get a suit for this do. What happens in the shop etc.

What kind of cost is involved to hire a suit like this.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

A black tie event would mean a tuxedo. Best bet is to head down to a formal wear rental place (e.g. www.blacktie.ie) about a week or so beforehand to book one and get measured etc. Tell them specifically what kind of event it is and they will get you exactly what you need.

Couldn't tell you how much a tux rental goes for these days...

    Hiya

Go to Black Tie in Patrick Street, tell one of the assistants you are interested in hiring a suit for a black tie event, usually they'll be able to offer you a range of tuxedos, tell them your budget, I know when I was looking for kilts for my wedding for my brothers they were going to charge €110 a day. So a tuxedo will probably be around the same. They will measure you, I doubt they'll make you strip, probably over your clothes, just wear jeans and a tee shirt and it should be OK. They're really nice, don't worry, just make sure you go soon, they usually want two or three weeks notice beforehand.
