    Chuir cara Fhraincach ceist orm aistiú á dheanamh ar versa amhrán a theann mar seo:
    A phlúr na maighdean is úire gné
    'Fuair cliú le scéimhe ón Adhamhchlainn;
    A chúl na bpearla, a rún na héigse
    A dúbhlas féile is fáilte.
    A ghnúis mar ghréin le dúscadh an lae
    A mhúchfadh léan le gáire,
    'sé mo chumhaidh gan mé".

    Beidh mé buíoch mar tá cabhair agat dá dtabharfaidh sibh dom é. Níl an teanga go laidir agam fós ach ba mhaith liom é a fheabhsú.
