    problem is it looks stoopid!

The Fusion is based on the Fiesta so you will feel at home straight away.

The new Mitsubishi Colt has a very high MPVish roof line also. Might be worth giving it a test drive.

Yaris has a high roof too. and new model's seat is mounted slightly lower than the outgoing model.

for that sort of money, an early 98 Citroen Berlingo Multispace might do the trick.
Finding one isn't exactly easy though.berl1.jpg
and any ones in this price bracket are likely to be ****ters.

Whatever you decide remember that a factory fitted sunroof reduces headroom considerably.

Have you tried a VW Polo? From memory, the seats go back a long way on them.
