Speed Camera

    Howdy all,
    Coming back from rush towards the m1, and was doing 100. Came across a speed camera (just beofre the m1 exit). There was a car a little bit of front of me in the lane beside going slower. It entered the road markings for the camera first. What I wanted to know was, will the speed camera only work on the 1st car that enters the road markings, until it is out of them?
    Also, if it does take a photo, how can it tell which of the 2 cars was actually doing that speed if they were both beside each other?

    The fixed cameras are capable of capturing the 1st & 2nd shots of each car in each lane simultaneously

    and they use the white lines across the road to confirm the speed of the car(s)
