Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was playing golf yesterday and I realised how everyone wears a golf glove. I never wear gloves and I get better feel from no glove

Does anyone else not use a glove and is it a complete neccessity

I always wear a glove, I used to take it off putting, but haven't recently as i had to strap my thumb up. It's what you're used to i suppose..

I dont wear a glove if i can help it.

Sometimes in the summer if i'm playing a lot of golf i get blisters of some sort and use that white tape stuff on my fingers to save them from shredding up.

I changed grips from cords to ordinary tour velvets recently so that might help with the fingers. I find if you regularly change your grips you dont really need a glove anyway.

I wear a golf glove driving and hitting irons, and take it off chipping, bunkers and putting, for feel.

Just helps stop blisters etc and causing hard damaged skin, it doesnt help your game i wouldnt say, just keep your hands nice and soft =P

I've never worn a glove either - always felt uncomfortable playing with one.

It would appear to be a necessity at the very top level - 99.99% of pros use a glove for driving and for approach shots. Janzen and Couples are the only 2 that I know of off the top of my head that don't use a glove.

i always use a glove for wood/iron shots... have a very fast swing and have had flying club experiences without a glove! take it off for putting/chipping/bunkers etc.

I never used to but in the last 3 years I always do (except for putting)
When I practice alot my hand can get a bit worn without a glove, also you need one in the rain so its better to be used to one for when the wetness comes...

I ifnd that if you're about to play an important competition I always buy a new glove, it fits great and grips v well and give a little more to your swing and follow thru, it works for me!
