6th of july is way later than usual right??

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

Yep, I remember having them in early June in 1st year, getting them on the 10th of June in my first 2nd year, getting them about a week later than that in 3rd year...

missing the rugby should be illegal.

So true. My lecturer was at the Munster-Leinster game, and he sympathised with me for missing the match when I asked him a question! Never thought of asking an invigilator the score though.

Meh, music and politics, I was so right to be scared going in. For the last 60-90 minutes, my concentrations was so fucked I could hardly think straight. I nearly mixed up Handel and Hadyn at one point. Thank God Richard's a nice marker, so I should pass.

Looking at a II.II in history though. Nowhere near good enough to get my masters. :(

Looking at flunking phliosophy thanks to an absloute disasted of a paper yesterday (I realised after reading the question that dispite being very interested in foucault I really don't undertand what he's on about). At this stage I don't even think nailing Logic on Tuesday or the fact that the department love me is going to get me the 40%.

The invigilator in the RDS announced the result of the game at the end of the evening exam on saturday. Grrrr! Some of us had taped it and didn't want to know!

Also 6th July for 2nd Arts? That'll be like a month to the repeats or something. Sounds late anyway.

Exams started a week later this year didn't they?

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,928 ✭✭✭✭rainbow kirby

They started in May last year as well. The year before that they started around the 26th April-ish.

Dunno how exams results are out later this year when there is actually less to correct this year than last year.

AFAIK the Summer exams are scheduled to begin around mid-May for next year due to an extra week off during Christmas holidays.

I was in that MER exam with drdre, Hulla, TheVan and besty... and was completely oblivious to any magpie. Shows how intently I was making up stuff about Pfefferism at the time.

I know I'm a bit late in with this, but I was away from anything even remotely like an internet connection for a bit there.

    Anyway, BK-DzR and meowCat: http://www.irc.com.

Let's cut out the chat guys please. There'll be loads of time for that at the beers.

Just out of Data Structures and Algorithms 2... my hand hurts. Like a motherbitch. I just wrote 12 foolscap pages in less than 2 hours. And I don't do the whole essay-writing thing, so that's a LOT. Exam went pretty ok, he asked a LOT of in-depth stuff but luckily I'd got 3 questions pretty well prepared. Though I *did* have a bit of an *ohshit* moment with 20 minutes to go when I realised that I still hadn't started a third question :( It all worked out in the end though.

Ugh, post-communist europe. I didn't so much as read my lecture notes (my procrastination skills know no bounds unfortunately ) and still managed to write nine solid pages on the collapse of socialist regimes in Central-East Europe. I have to have passed at the very least.

Given that I did no study whatsoever, I'm relatively pleased with myself. ;)

    Whooo hoooo it's over!

A bit of a tough paper but given that I actually managed to study for this one, I got three full questions done (and left an hour early, but nobody need mention that ;-) ) I figured staying would just mean excess waffle.

    Ah........summer :D
