Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

I want to distribute a CD presentation which will contain HTML, images etc. Is there any software available that will enable the presentation to be viewed, but will prevent files/ images being copied from the CD to a HD for example?

    Many thanks,

    SH

You could get software to compile the files into .exe and CD copyright protection software. Both could be defeated (Quite easily, depending on what's used). Why not just take screenshots of the end result ...?

You could take a look at Microshafts "Information Rights Management". This is included with Office 2003 Pro. With this you could create a "protected" powerpoint pres that you could distribute around, but you can select what people can do with it. So, people can view it, but not print or edit it.

you could PDF it using pdfreator or acrobat and set permisions so you could not print or export - might be an answer

but digital stuff is easy to copy, unless you have an exe that goes off to the internet to check if the machine it's on is allowed to keep running
