Broadband without Line Rental (Request)

I am looking to get broadband but I do not use the phone line in my house and want to avoid packages with expensive line rentals. I don't wish to have a phone installed, I just want broadband on its own. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

If you don't want a phoneline installed then your options are fairly limited, wireless or cable. I don't think NTL serve anywhere outside Dublin and Waterford so that's probably out. http://www.broadband.gov.ie/bbinfo/ServiceByLocationSearchWF.aspx or www.getbroadband.ie can tell you what's available to you.
