    Stoneybatter -Dublin
    Golden -Tipperary
    Drumshambo -not sure
    Horse & Jockey -Tipperary
Leighlinbridge - Carlow (Pronounced Locklin Bridge! why not Laylin??).

Drumshambo - Leitrim, infamous for the massacur that occurred there  . If you think the anglacisation is unusual/odd the Irish means either Hill of the old cow or Back of the old cow can't remember which.

    Drumsna
    Kiltubrid
    Annaduff
    Barnacoola
    Gowell

There is actually a housing estate in Nobber called Muff Crescent. Nearly pissed myself laughing when I saw it.

I'm from a town in Cavan called Shercock. We got some slagging when we were younger...

I'm from Cork, but I was up in a pub in Baileborough one night and the prize-winner in some draw was called out as Mr. X (forget the name) from Shercock, I burst out laughing, then realised nobody else was.....definetly a funny place name.
