    Hi,

anyone know of a company in Limerick who specialises in car window tinting. I want to get the back windows of my car done for upcoming baby. Those silly stick on blinds are far too small and rubbish looking to be in any way effective, so I'm looking to price some quality window tinting.

    Thanks for the help

    Alan.

You could try ringing that Wicked FX place up there across from the Childer's Road retail park. If they don't do it they may know someone who does. Also try the motor factors in the Parkway or Halfords out by B&Q.

Try Pro-Image out the Drombanna Road, near some small car dealer.

    Speaking of Car windows.........

Isnt their some new law coming in soon restricting what
you can do to the windows of your car ?

Thought there was a rumor or story going round a while back
that they were trying to ban those windows that are silvered or black-ed out,
dunno if the same appied to tinting or maybe it only applied to the
    passanger/Driver and front window.

The side and rear windows can be darkened out but the front windscreen must be left alone afaik.

my colleague bouught a car from a romanian guy. he had a simple solution: plywood painted black attached to the rear windows... you don't believe it!!!

That was only a suggestion by the former junior minister for transport before he was given the boot. It was a silly idea really, given that tinting can be legitimately applied to any car for legitimate reasons. Tinting does not signify boy racer attitudes, something the previous junior minister believed.

A mate of mine recently bought a new van, the windows were painted with black emulsion...classy! It only took 3 days to scrape off all of it!!

Its called sleekfx, they do a good job apparently!
Another place you could try is the new "custom motion" place on the dock road. If your coming from the city, you take the right turn by the limerick search and rescue, then an immediate left. theres a new industrial estate then on your right, he is a door or 2 down, cant miss him.
