NTL down in Tallaght? AGAIN

Hi

Is anyone else having problems with NTL in Tallght (Aylesbury) today. Mine was ok last night but today is down.

Restarted modem but same problem.

Problems in Clondalkin too, can't sync up started last night.

mine seems to have stopped working at about 2am. i just restarted it there a few minutes ago, and i got a new ip address for the first time this year. an 86.* one, which must be new on the network

Aye,
Mine has been up and down alot in the last month or so.

Getting awfull ping spikes whilst playing online which i never had before.
Although according to this connection speed test my connections has gone from 3MB to 4.5MB

Mine went down in Lucan at 3 a.m. this morning and still hasn't come back up.

mine (D8 area) went down early this morning as well. my modem is still connecting to the NTL network (sync and ready are on), but the DNSs are not reachable
Called CS at 9 this morning (and after the usual unplug this, restart that,...) she told me "there seems to be a gereal outage over dublin at the moment"

They had a general outage that they said should be fixed now.

Can anyone confirm is fixed for them, mine still down. Waiting for a call from support.

Network in general is back up now, was down this morning for some upgrade or other. I had two different crews out today to sort a problem I was having where the modem would reboot itself intermittently and I'd have to repair the connection in windows to get an ip address. Dodgy cable from the manhole to the house was the problem. One crew came out and pulled the new cable through, then a different guy had to come out to crimp the ends on it :rolleyes:

Steaming along nicely now though

hey guys a question,

when your ntl is down, can you still access the modem? I can't for some reason my power and ethernet LEDs are on and my Sync LED is blinking constantly fast. Is that normal for a "down" or is it something with my modem?

I was able to do it yesterday.

Did you try connecting directly to the modem? Also switch off the modem for a few second and replug, hope it works.
