    Hi

    Has anbody dug foundations themselves, would you know the rough price of the ready-mix for a 2000sq ft house?

    Too many variables, is it 1 story? 2 story? Many Internal block walls? Ready mix is about €60 a Msq so you should be able to work it out.

    i agree with Adrian, i reckon you should consult your architect or quantity
    surveyor for this one, but as a very rough guide.

    External walls
    Multiply Length of wall in metres (M) X .9M X .3M = ?Cubic Metres

    (Where .9M = 900mm )

    Internal Walls
    Length of wall in metres X .6m X .3m = Cubic Metres

    this is approximate and all depends on the type of soil, loading etc
    method of construction etc etc etc.....too many variables

    For the floor slab multiply length of house (M) X width (M) X .150

    I believe you should contact a local engineer or the architect who designed/drew the plans for your house, get the foundations wrong and it could cost you a lot of money

    a bill of quantities will cost you about 300/400 euro and worth every penny

    Budget for 70Euro Per Cubic Metre including VAT
