Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all

    Can anybody help me ?? I would like to run my two eircom wifi units(netopia) together.
    I have laid a cat cable of about 30metres and terminasted the ends into typical connectors. Can anybody advise which ports I plug into in each wireless unit?

    appreciate any help

    :confused:

    Why do you need to have both units running? Are you trying to set up a wireless repeater? What model netopia do you have?

    More details are required about the setup you're trying to achieve.

    @ irlrobins: Will this setup work or does the netopia require the signal to arrive on its wan port?

    I'm still clueless what the OP is doing. I'm not 100% sure that the input has to be thru the wan port. Gut feeling is that it would have to be. But I could be wrong.

    Thank for your replys guy, sorry about my delayed reply as I have been out of town with work.

    My modem is the standard Netopia Wireless Router 802.11b ADSL modem for ISDN 4port. The second modem is acting as a repeater. In my absence my son(14yrs) has done the connections as follows;
    The main modem is linked to the repeater modem (30 meters away) by a lan cable. The cable is plugged into port 1 on the main modem and port 1 on the second modem9the repeater). The repeater connection works and clocks speeds of up to 2 Mps even though we only pay for a 1Mps connection for about 3 mins. However the repeater connection then drops for up to 5 mins, there in lies my problem. Are we plugged into the right ports???? appreciate any help.

    Thanks in advance

    Am in the dark here but do the Netopia's support WDS? Might sort your prob of the dropping connection.

    Are there any other networks in your area? What channel are they operating on?
